Things to do in Tampa, FL

The city of Tampa Bay, the economic center of western Florida, located on Florida's Gulf Coast. Busch Gardens

Top of the list is the world-renowned amusement park that offers a wide variety of activities and world-class rides. The 335-Acre African theme park features many exclusive experiences such as Guided Adventure Tours, Themed Rides, Serengeti Safari, and Special kids' attractions. This large park is also landscaped to recreate parts of Africa like Morocco, Congo, Egypt, and so much more. They are known for their multi-cultural influence as well as providing all-day dining and shopping for park visitors. 

Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA)

Founded in 2001, FMoPA is in the architectural wonder that is the Cube building, located in the heart of Tampa's Waterfront Arts District. The Cube has unique interior spaces, showcasing a variety of permanent and temporary exhibitions. FMoPA exhibits a range of essential photographic arts from Historical to Contemporary works done by national and international artists. They also provide educational programs, instructor biographies, photography classes, and weekly, monthly, and annual photography related events. The FMoPA is an excellent taste of the photography art scene in Florida and is definitely worth the stop.

Tampa Riverwalk

A 2.6 mile-long well maintained open space and pedestrian trail along the Hillsborough River that connects to downtown Tampa. The Riverwalk features the beautiful scenery of the city's public parks, waterfronts, and a variety of museums, hotels, entertainment venues, and restaurants. A few of these attractions include the World War II American Victory Ship, the Florida Aquarium, Channelside Bay Plaza and more. The Tampa Riverwalk is an ideal place for a romantic stroll and a fresh breath of air.

Big Cat Rescue

A large accredited sanctuary in Florida dedicated to rehabilitating abused and abandoned big cats. They are rated four stars by Charity Navigator, and it's home to about 80+ tigers, bobcats, lions, cougars and more. They were established in 1992 to end the illegal private trade of exotic cats. Well-maintained Guided tours conducted throughout the facility such as feeding and night tours, resident cat visits, and photographic tours. 

Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI)

A non-profit science museum that is a community-based institution and educational resource.  MOSI dedicates themselves to understanding science, technology, and industry all in the interest of public knowledge. This Museum if the largest science center in the Southern United States and features over 450 interactive experiences and activities for tourists to explore, like a 3D printing exhibit, Science demonstrations, a planetarium, a Bio-Works butterfly garden, a Robotzone, and science talks.
